How to Become a Surrogate

We are committed to making this a wonderful and rewarding experience for you. We provide our carriers with support, mentoring, and direction, and ensure they are properly compensated for their invaluable service.
Our gestational surrogates share our company values of health, family, and service. We accept applications based on the requirements below. Gestational Surrogate Requirements

You may be eligible to be a Heartland Surrogate if you:
  • are 21-39 years old and reside in the Heartland (Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, Wisconsin) or the West Coast (Oregon, California). 
  • have a healthy height/weight proportion and have not had gastric bypass surgery
  • have given birth to and are parenting at least one child
  • have a history of healthy, non-complicated pregnancy and delivery
  • have had no more than 3 cesarean sections
  • are a non-smoker (for at least 6 months) and are living in a non-smoking home
  • have no history of criminal activity and you (and your partner, if applicable) agree to criminal background checks
  • have a stable, responsible lifestyle and are financially sound with no government assistance

Note: If you are not comfortable allowing the intended parents to make decisions about termination and reduction, please contact us about availability before applying.
