Below is a general overview of the steps to parenthood through our agency. This process takes an average of 18-24 months, but can vary depending on your personal circumstances. Please contact us with any questions.

APPLICATION

After completing our application, we will perform background checks on all adults in your household. Before matching, we will communicate with your fertility clinic about specific requirements for your journey. If not yet completed, you will need to have a psychological consultation about your readiness for surrogacy (often available through your fertility clinic).

MATCHING

We will share your profile with a surrogate that has shown interest in meeting with you. If you are also interested in moving forward, we will set up a video match call between all parties – the surrogate (and their partner, if applicable), intended parent(s), and a member of our staff.

SCREENING

After you have been matched, the surrogate will undergo further screening as instructed by your fertility clinic. This will include psychological screening and medical screening.

LEGAL

Once psychological and medical clearance have been issued, the attorneys will begin work on the gestational carrier agreement (GCA). You and your surrogate will each be represented by your own attorney and each party will have a chance to review the contract before signing.

TRANSFER

Once the GCA is signed, you will fund the escrow according to your agreement; then you will schedule the embryo transfer. Each clinic has a unique medication protocol, but the time between the start of medications and transfer day is usually around 3-5 weeks. There will be several appointments for your surrogate during this time to check on readiness for transfer.

PREGNANCY

Once pregnancy is confirmed, you and your surrogate will have the opportunity to experience each milestone and grow your relationship. We will be available as always for any support you need. While awaiting the arrival of the baby(ies), we will work with attorneys to get the proper paperwork completed before the birth.
