Am I Eligible to Become a Surrogate?

You may be eligible to become a surrogate with Heartland Surrogacy if you have given birth before and meet basic health, lifestyle, and screening requirements.

You don’t need to figure it out alone. If you are interested in becoming a surrogate but are unsure whether you meet every requirement, we’re happy to answer your questions before you apply.

You may qualify to become a surrogate if you

are between 21 and 42 years old
have given birth to and are parenting at least one child
have a history of healthy pregnancy and delivery
have had no more than 3 cesarean sections
live in a surrogacy-friendly state
meet general health guidelines, with a BMI between 19-35, and have not had gastric bypass surgery
are a non-smoker (for at least 6 months) and are living in a non-smoking home
have a stable, responsible lifestyle with no history of criminal activity
are financially stable and not receiving government assistance
are willing to complete medical, psychological, and background screening
